1...a3 2.Rh6 a2 3.Ra6 Rxh3 When I was shown this position I was asked to guess whites next move. I wrongly selected g5, only to be told that white had resigned! 0-1

4.g5 Although white cannot avoid losing his rook, the a-pawn is still 2 moves from queening.

4...Rh1 5.Ra8+ Kf7 6.Ra7+ Ke8 7.Ra8+ Ke7 8.Ra7+ Kd6 9.Ra6+ Ke5 10.Ra5+ Kf4 The only sensible way to avoid the checks.

11.f6 Now it's black who's in danger of losing. [11.g6 a1Q 12.Rxa1 Rh2+ (12...Rxa1?? 13.g7 Ra8 14.f6 ) 13.Kd3 Kxf5 14.Rg1 Rh8 ]
